In reply I beg to enclose a Minute by Mr. Archroyd, the Acting Attorney General, showing what the present state of the law of this Colony is, and how he proposed to amend it.

On the signification of your approval of Mr. Archroyd's suggestions, I shall at once cause to be introduced into the Legislative Council a measure in accordance with them.
